The Earth & our products
Our promise to you is that we will continue to source our products in the most ethical and ecological way we can. Here is some information about the materials that we use for our products.
Bamboo
As part of our thermal range we decided to use bamboo because of its sustainability. It is the fastest growing plant on earth (between 3 and 4 feet a day!!!) and although bamboo is a grass, it produces more oxygen than trees. The even better news is that it doesn't need pesticides or insecticides and doesn't require irrigation as all you have to do is just add rainwater! Not bad given that you get to wear a super soft, hypoallergenic, organic, antibacterial garment that not only helps you stay smelling sweet no matter how many times you wash it, but also keeps you cool in summer and and warm in winter. Lush!
Hemp
Hemp is also a grass (but differs from its marijuana relative!) Similar to bamboo, it doesn't need any assistance to grow.No pesticides, no incesticides, only a small amount of rainwater. Sweet! Just like bamboo it provides quality performance. It does everything that bamboo does; its fibres are one of the most durable in the world, meaning the quality of your clothes last a very long time! In terms of hemp's growing habits, it only takes 120 days after planting, again proving itself to be a fore-runner in sustainability. If you think all that is good, there's more - hemp fibres provide their very own UV protection. Cool! (sun cream also advisable!)
Organic and ethical
We continue our search for eco-ethical tees and hoodies. So far we have sourced organic garments whose manufacturers support the Fair Wear Foundation and WRAP, both dedicated to ethical trade.
